Architect: BB Architects
Victory Hotel
An extension and restoration to the historic ‘Victory Hotel’ overlooking Sellicks Beach designed by conservation architects ‘BB Architects’.
This was a complex project as all construction work took place whilst the pub & restaurant were in full operation. Including the construction and connection of new cellars to existing cellars through building underground passages.
Tempo Constructions won the 2009 Master Builders Excellence Awards “Excellence in a Commercial Refurbishment/Redevelopment up to $5 million” for this project.
Substantial excavation, extensions and refurbishment to the historic 150-year-old landmark hotel in Sellicks Hill.
Throughout the entire course of construction, the front bar was never closed with some works carried out outside of long operating hours resulting in no loss of cashflow to the Publican.
Tempo had to work closely with the architects to preserve and ameliorate this heritage-listed building. Despite numerous additions to scope of works, Tempo stepped up to having personnel onsite 24 hours a day in order to complete works for the 150-year anniversary of the Hotel.
